I started building affordable, quality custom basses because nobody else was. I had specifc things in mind for my "dream bass", but there was nothing on the market that fit my needs or budget. So I decided to break the mold and do what the big guys wouldn't.
All my custom basses are assembled by me in my home shop in Atlanta, GA. I've been playing bass for over 20 years, so I know how a good bass should perform. I build basses that I would want to play myself.

Each bass body is made from premium grade wood that is both lightweight and resonant. Necks feature graphite rods for reinforcement, rolled fret edges, and customizable fretboard radius, fret size, and neck thickness. And perfectly cut neck pockets provide the most snug body/neck join available.
The standard finish on my instruments is nitrocellulose lacquer. This is what Fender used in the 1960's. Nitro is a thinner finish that has a more satin look and feel vs. contemporary polyurethane, which has a plastic look (very glossy and very hard). While many players claim nitro offers superior tone over poly, I personally choose nitro for aesthetic reasons. It will age beautifully with play and wear, just like vintage basses have. While in the past I have done my own nitro finishing, I now outsource it to a custom shop that does the best work I've ever seen. Not only does this upgrade the look and feel of my basses, it allows me to spend more time obsessing over the assembly and playability of each instrument.
My personal philosophy on bass is simple. I believe a bass should speak for itself with a natural woody tone, deep lows, punchy mids, and clear highs. It should never fight its player by being poorly balanced or uncomfortable on the hands. The electronics should be quiet and hum-free. It should look fantastic on stage. And most importantly, it should inspire its player.
Your bass will get a full setup prior to shipping. This includes properly setting the neck relief, intonation, and action. You will receive a bass that plays great out of the box.
